ANNOUNCEMENTS

*PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST

PREPARING OUR HEARTS AND MINDS FOR WORSHIP:

"Glorious Works," James Denton

Please join me in praising the Lord using the Response printed in your bulletin: (From Psalm 86)
Leader
:  There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord,

People:  Nor are there any works like yours.
Leader
:  All nations You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord,
People:  And they shall glorify Your name.
Leader
:  For You are great and do wondrous deeds;
People:  You alone are God.

(After reciting the Response, indicate with your hands for the congregation to stand for the first hymn. DO NOT announce the hymn)

*SONG OF PRAISE # 271 (Red Hymnal)

"Standing on the Promises"

(Lector only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletin.

**COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR

Gracious God:

We confess that we are not always brave

in the face of temptation.

We do not always stand firm in the

battle for what is right.

We do not always wear the armor

You have prepared for us.

We seek comfort rather than doing battle with evil.

Forgive our indifference toward Your word

and negligence of our duty.

Lead us safely through the battles of life.

Amen

RECEIVING FORGIVENESS:

(Lector only)

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, in Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace."
