"Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again;

ANNOUNCEMENTS

PREPARING OUR HEARTS AND MINDS FOR WORSHIP:

"The Great Physician," John H. Stockton

****

Please join me in praising the Lord using the Response printed in your bulletins: (from Psalm 134):

Leader: "Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord!

People: Lift up your hands to the holy place, and bless the Lord!

Leader:  May the Lord, maker of heaven and earth

People: Bless you from Zion."

Please stand and sing our Songs of Praise to God #467 from Blue Hymnal , "How Great Thou Art"

Lector only: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletins.

*COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR:

Lord God:

We have ears to hear, but often don't listen.

We have eyes to see, but focus only on ourselves.

We have hearts with which to love others,

Yet we confess our hearts are often out of beat with Your love!

You have given us minds to remember your blessings,

But too often, we only think of our challenges!

Transform our minds,

And breathe Your Spirit within us!

Amen

RECEIVING FORGIVENESS:

(Lector only)

We've got all the symptoms,

but the Great Physician has the cure!

When we confess our sins to Him,

He promises to make of us a new creation!

We stand as forgiven people; turn to your neighbors with "The peace of Christ!"

Please remain standing as we affirm our faith, saying together the ecumenical version of the Nicene Creed on page 15 in the blue hymnal.
