(Lector only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletins.

O Lord:
We praise you for making Yourself known to us,
For enabling us to come and worship You.
Forgive us for times we have organized our lives,
As if You did not exist.
Forgive us for making a shrine
