People: In him all things in heaven and on earth were created,
Leader: Jesus is the head of the body, the church,
People: In Christ the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
Leader: Through Christ God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things.
All: Let us worship God!

Lector only: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletins.
*COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR:
Lord God:
You have given the Sabbath for rest,
For humankind and all creatures.
Forgive us for thinking we can find true renewal
Apart from You!
Forgive us for focusing upon what we can get,
Instead of upon what we and others truly need.
Forgive us for thinking we're "getting ahead",
While we wander further and further from You!
Feed us this day with the Bread of life!

What does the Lord require of us, but "to do justice,
to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God."
When we live as God's children, we come to experience
His abundant forgiveness and mercy!
We stand as forgiven people; turn to your neighbors with "The peace of Christ!"
