(Lector only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletins.

*COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR:

Lord of all, we praise you this morning,
Remembering your goodness this past week.
But we also recall the harsh words we spoke,
The cynicism that crept into our thoughts,
The chance for gain at another's expense.
We lay these before you in confession.
Once more, we seek your forgiveness,
Amen.
