(Lector Only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletin.

O Lord,
All of us stand in need of your grace and forgiveness.
At times we have intentionally gone against your will.
Many times, we have meant well, but fallen short.
May your holiness stand brightly before us,
That we may see and confess our shortcomings to you.

Of those who know they have been forgiven!
