(Lector only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletins.
*COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR:
Lord God:
You have given liberally of yourself to us.
We confess we rarely give our whole self to you.
Your Spirit abides with us moment by moment;
Yet we return but a fraction of our time to you.
Jesus sacrificed that we might have life;
Yet we give grudgingly and count the cost!
Remind us this week that when we give to you,
We lose nothing, and gain everything!
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
