(Psalm 119:105)
ANNOUNCEMENTS/RECOGNITIONS
*PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST
CHORAL INTROIT:
"The Lord Is in His Holy Temple," Lloyd Larson
Please join me in praising the Lord using the Response printed in your bulletin (From Psalm 98)
Leader: "O sing to the Lord a new song,
People: For he has done marvelous things.
Leader: All the ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.
People: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!"
(After reciting the Response, indicate with your hands for the congregation to stand for the first hymn. DO NOT announce the hymn)
*SONG OF PRAISE #275 (Red Hymnal)
"How Firm a Foundation"
(Lector only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletin.
*PRAYER FOR RELEASE FROM BONDAGE:
Leader: Lord God, deliver us!
People: From slavery to schedules, cell phones and too many e-mails,
Leader: From bondage to busyness, from the prisons of old patterns,
People: Lord God, deliver us!
Leader: From watching our watches and neglecting our loved ones,
People: From darkness and gloom when we have much to be thankful for.
Leader: Free us from self centeredness, and the sin which clings like velcro.
People: Deliver us and make us free, by the power of the risen Christ! Amen
RECEIVING FORGIVENESS:

In Christ's resurrection we have the guarantee of the forgiveness of our sins. Let us embrace this good news.
