Lord God:
For many of us, it was our mothers

who first showed us the way to You.

Forgive us for times we failed to honor

our fathers and mothers,

of parents for granted,
And gone out to live our own lives

with little thought or gratitude.
And show us, Lord, that we best honor them
By living for You!
