ANNOUNCEMENTS
*PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST
CHORAL INTROIT: "Risen In Glory," Lee/Wagner
Please join me in praising the Lord using the Response printed in your bulletin (I Corinthians 15:20, Revelation 19:6-7)
Leader: "Christ has been raised from the dead,
People: The first fruits of those that have died."
Leader: "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
People: Let us rejoice and exult, and give him the glory!"
(After reciting the Response, indicate with your hands for the congregation to stand for the first hymn. DO NOT announce the hymn)
*SONG OF PRAISE #123 (Blue Hymnal)
"Jesus Christ Is Risen Today"
(Lector only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletin.
*COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR:
Almighty God,
We give you joyful thanks this Easter for Him
who is the resurrection and the life!
We believe in Him, in the greatness of His character,
and the triumph of His life!
Forgive us for times we have remained locked
in upper rooms of despair and darkness.
Grant that we might grow aware of Christ,
not as a far-off memory,
But as our eternal friend and master,
Who was dead, but lives forevermore.
By the power of His resurrection
may we rise out of selfishness and sin!
Amen
RECEIVING FORGIVENESS:
(Lector only)
The mercies of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting
Upon those of humble hearts, and open hands!
