ANNOUNCEMENTS

*PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST

CHORAL INTROIT:

"Let's Prepare," John D Hedges/arr Lynn Kennedy

Please join me in praising the Lord using the Response printed in your bulletin: (From Psalm 107)

Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord for His loving kindness,

People: And His wonders to the sons of men!

Leader: Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving,

People: And tell of His works with joyful singing.

All: Let us worship God.

(After reciting the Response, indicate with your hands for the congregation to stand for the first hymn. DO NOT announce the hymn.)

*SONG OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP: #4 (Red Hymnal)

"How Great Thou Art"

(Lector Only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletin.

**COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR

Gracious God;

We fail in many ways to keep our vows;

We promise you we will do better;

We promise ourselves we will do better;

Yet we continue to fall short in keeping our promises.

Perhaps we are depending on our own strength,

While we shut you out of our lives.

Open our eyes to see our errors, and

Open our hearts to receive your will.

Guide our feet to follow you to eternal forgiveness.

Amen.

RECEIVING FORGIVENESS:

(Lector Only) (Isaiah 55:6-7)

"Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon."
