ANNOUNCEMENTS

*PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST

CHORAL INTROIT:

"Let's Prepare," John D Hedges/arr Lynn Kennedy

PRELUDE

Please join me in praising the Lord using the Response printed in your bulletin: (From Psalm 99)
Leader
:  "The Lord is great in Zion;
People:  He is exalted over all the peoples.
Leader
:  Let them praise your great and awesome name.

People:  Holy is he!
Leader
:  Extol the Lord our God;
People:  Worship at his footstool. Holy is he!"

(After reciting the Response, indicate with your hands for the congregation to stand for the first hymn. DO NOT announce the hymn.)

*SONG OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP: #267 (Blue Hymnal)

"All Things Bright and Beautiful"

(Lector Only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletin.

**COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR

Lord God:

Though our lives become soiled with self serving and centeredness,

Make us pure, like new fallen snow!

Though we like to think we are in charge,

Slow us down with glimpses of Your power and might!

When we become wrapped up in our own pursuits,

And frustrated when our schedules get changed,

Remind us that there is enough time to do what You desire,

If we give our hearts and lives to You!
Amen.

RECEIVING FORGIVENESS:

(Lector Only)

The Lord God is a forgiving God, but also an avenger of wrong doings. His grace is free, but also costly!
