ANNOUNCEMENTS

*PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST

CHOIR INTROIT:

"The Lord Is in His Holy Temple," Lloyd Larson

***

Please join me in praising the Lord using the Response printed in your bulletin (Psalm 111)
Leader
:  I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation.
People:  Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.
Leader
:  He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.
People:  The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
Leader
:  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding.
People:  His praise endures forever!

*SONG OF PRAISE #288 (Blue Hymnal)

"I Sing the Mighty Power of God"

(After reciting the Response, indicate with your hands for the congregation to stand for the first hymn. DO NOT announce the hymn)

(Lector only) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God, using the prayer printed in your bulletin.

*COMING CLEAN BEFORE OUR CREATOR:

God of the ages,
We know that we have not kept our promises
to ourselves, others and You!
We have been thoughtless of others' needs and feelings,
insisted on our own way,
and rebelled against Your eternal truth.
Set us right, we pray,
that we might better reflect Your image to others,
and enjoy renewed fellowship with You.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen

RECEIVING FORGIVENESS:

(Lector only)

The mercies of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting
Upon those of humble hearts, and open hands!
